What's new in Flex 4 (code name: Gumbo)

  1. The catch to this is that most designers will view this as writing code in the same way that they view writing html as code. Yes, I realize the difference, but that is a separate debate. The issue is that designers are going to want and insist on being able to draw their interface, and if they aren't provided a method of doing that they will draw it in Photoshop or Flash and leave it to the programmer to make this conversion.

  4. Great share. Sounds more like giving developers more control over design/animation. A designer would probably still need a UI with couple sliders and buttons that gives instant feedback.
    Being both designer/developer when while in design phase, the last thing you want is "type something" that "looks", lorem ipsum + copy paste have spread the bug.
